LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The once-hot Las Vegas Strip Mirage Volcano is now the site of the snowy “Paramount Mountain” which will open to the public on Thursday, and it’s free.
Paramount Expedition Vegas is a 4-day event that immerses fans into the world of Paramount by creating experiences. Locals and visitors can interact with their favorite films and series from Paramount’s portfolio.
“We’ve got everything from the ability to experience Yellowstone, experience SpongeBob,” said Stephen Kipp, with Paramount’s Events and Brand Experience. “There’s a variety of experiences they can have throughout the overall village.”
The display also features an immersive activation, “Journey to the Peak”, a hyper-realistic gondola ride that takes visitors on a thrilling journey from the depths of the sea to the mountain’s peak with fan-favorite Paramount characters along the way.
“It’s like as you climb Paramount Mountain, you get to see all your favorite characters and shows come to life. And you really feel like you’re moving up the mountain with the 4D making it feel even more realistic,” said Cheryl Family, executive vice president of Creative and Strategy for Paramount Global.
Expedition Vegas opens on Thursday, Feb. 8, and runs through Super Bowl Sunday. The attraction is free, but a reservation is required for entry. You can reserve your time to visit the display by clicking this link.
