LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A teenager and a 60-year-old man were killed in a crash in the east Las Vegas valley early Saturday morning.

Around 4:10 a.m., police responded to a crash at the intersection of North Lamb Boulevard and East Bonanza Road.

Evidence at the scene showed that a Chevrolet Silverado was driving northbound on Lamb Boulevard at a high rate of speed when it entered the intersection on a solid red light, police said.

A Toyota Scion was also entering the intersection on a green light at the same time. The Chevrolet then crashed into the passenger side of the Toyota and both drivers were ejected from their vehicles, according to police.

The driver of the Toyota, identified as a 60-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as a 17-year-old boy, was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

These deaths mark the 22nd and 23rd traffic-related fatalities in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2024.
